I have never understood how they know Jesus returned. What is the evidence they use?

i just finished reading the articles that tell us that the last 100 years of turmoil are supposed to be proof that jesus is on the throne.

i have always been confused about this, especially when i compare it to what the bible says about his return.

matthew 24:27 says, "for just as the lightning comes out of eastern parts and shines over to western parts, so the presence of the son of man will be.".

New Understanding of this Generation

another tidbit of information about this generation from the 1/15/2014 study edition under "let your kingdom come - but when?".

they've changed it again.. this generation will not pass away14-16.

what is a third reason for believing that gods kingdom will come soon?.

Right that does it I am going to email the Borg Top Guns and inform them that the way forward is to Advertise Avertise Advertise with a new sales slogan because the Millions Now Living Will Never Die catch phrase is so yesterday.

New slogan introduced in a special Watchtower to be pushed through every letter box in the World entitled " Younger generation could be you even though your eighty two" set to music it could be quite catchy especially on you tube with Sparlocks Granny and Grandad dancing to it.

Their track record gets worse of course Jesus didn't say you must go to a church organisation because no churches had been built when Jesus walked on Earth and what is more obvious he didn't say you must congregate in the Kingdom Hall and read the Watchtower he also did not say join the Jehovah Witnesses . If somebody had asked him a question like that he would have said who is this Jehovah I do not recognise the name am I missing something here?

The name Jehovah relatively speaking is a modern invention the term Christian congregation of Jehovah Witnesses is church terminology what else can it mean.

Mark Sanderson - Why Is the Newest GB Member Suddenly So Prominent?

i've noticed something that is very odd even by wt/gb standards.

why is mark sanderson suddenly so prominent in all things wt/jw?.

others have commented on the obvious narcissism of the gb pushing themselves to the fore recently, in particular after their huge doctrinal change at proclaiming themselves and only themselves as the faithful and discreet slave.. this is clearly true as evidenced at the agm, not only throughout the agm, but also in the video that was featured as part of that meeting.

He looks like Mr Pink Whistle from my childhood Enid Blyton books pity he is not as magical.

All this rubbish about their new HQ is just nonsense. Its being built on past false promises and prophecy they have elected themselves a country club retirement complex built on the back of hard pedaling publishers and pioneers. Jehovah Witnesses take a hard look at what the Governing Body are building for themselves take a look at each individual face and ask youself who is he think he is kidding.

All this crap is not supposed to be happening because according to past understanding its the JWs who should be building themselves homes in the New World at this point in time .

My highlights from the AGM

some of this will not be new to those of you who read other people's notes, but i bet there are a few new bits for you here, so i've provided a user-friendly table of contents, as an homage to the contents that appear before each book of the bible in the new nwt.

i might remember more highlights later, as i'm rather tired right now, but this is what i can recall off the top of my head.. contents (use of quote marks in this section is facetious; these are not actual quotes).

"say, did you notice that 2014 is the 100th anniversary, people?".

Bollocks to it I am off to read Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde .

Dorian is a cultured, wealthy,and impossibly beautiful young man who would never urinate I beg your pardon forward slash against a wall and

gets his mush painted on a canvas for posterity . The thought of his fading looks send him into a talespin so being impressionable and incredibly vain he more or less sells his soul to the devil living the life of a pleasure seeker with lots of hankey pankey and no regard for convention.

The painting becomes demonised or you might like to retranslate it as it starts to make him look like a bum but maybe translate it better as old and wrinkly.

To conclude after twenty years of burning the candle at both ends and staying out on the tiles for great lengths of time his demons get the better of him when tragedy strikes and pierces his very soul.

I think it should be called The Confederate Bible as it blends with the uniform of the Confederate forces in the Civil War.
